Women In STEM DOing More = Wisdom…let’s spread some wisdom!Women make up half of the global population, yet their presence in computer science is oftentimes challenged. How can we address societal needs through technological advancement without our perspectives at the table? How will we serve as catalysts for change if the table is tilted away from us? Girls With Wisdom is here to change that. Let’s spread our wisdom!
Who are we? Our family is made up of mentors and mentees from across the world who are fueled by their passion for STEM.
What do we do? Pair girls with a computer science tutor to receive personalized mentorship. For students who prefer to learn on their own, Karina has provided step-by-step YouTube videos to educate on the basics of Java, Python, or HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
What else? While we do focus specifically on computer science, we have mentors from all different backgrounds that can provide personalized tutoring for other STEM-related subjects.
